Parque Patagonia Argentina

Local Development

We work with communities around Patagonia Park to foster nature-based tourism that delivers lasting economic and environmental benefits.

In collaboration with the communities of Perito Moreno, Los Antiguos, and Lago Posadas, we help build a tourism economy rooted in the region’s natural and cultural heritage. We provide training programs for guides and entrepreneurs, create job opportunities, and offer meaningful volunteer experiences.

Youth Outdoor Education

With the goal of connecting local communities to the nature around them – and knowing they will be the future stewards of the park – Rewilding Argentina and the Freyja Foundation have been running the Exploradores youth outdoor education program since 2022. This free program is designed for children and youth aged 10 to 18 from towns neighboring Patagonia Park.
